<i>The mount of the souls</i>is a short story written by Gustavo Adolfo B&eacute;cquer and published in 1861 in a collection of stories by the author entitled Soria. The legend told in this story shows us the events that happened to Alonso, a young man who tried to please his cousin Beatriz on All Saints&#39; Day or All Souls&#39; Night (November 1). Beatriz was a really beautiful young woman, with blue eyes and beautiful lips, who had lost her bond on the mountain of souls. She asks her cousin to go look for him, knowing that all kinds of spirits roam that night and that it can be dangerous. Alonso agrees to the request, even knowing that it is dangerous to go to the mountains that night, since he is easily persuaded by Beatriz. He discovers the terrifying task that Alonso embarked on that night of the dead...
