And thus it is with the Jewish National Movement which seeks not only to rationalise the position of the Jewish People vis-vis the other Peoples of the World through the central locus in gun Palestine — but also thereby to amend the irrational position Jewry occupies at times and in places through, on the one hand, persecution, and on the other, its subsequent withdrawal in favour of civic emancipation.
