Of the settlement in America, at the period of the Rev0~ cation, the present work includes only the part relating to New England. In another work I propose to treat of the settlement in the Middle and Southern provinces or States in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware and in Maryland, Virginia and South Carolina.
