The apparatus herein described was in stalled to afford a means of continuously in dicating the nature and extent of the several losses in the operation of the boilers in the power plant of the Armour Institute of Tech nology Since the conditions which influence the operation of the boiler vary continually. The phenomena of combustion must be continu ously indicated in order to be properly con trolled so as to give the maximum efficiency at all times.
