It is my desire to help you who read these words, and everybody else to think of the body as a rare and wonderful building, to lead you to study it and to see the vital rela tions between your care of it and your whole success in life. To regard the body as a temple is not vital, but to see the bearing of practical physiology and hygiene upon yourself as an individual is of the greatest importance. Although the analogy has been followed throughout the book, special care has been taken to adhere to scientific truth in every particular as well as to omit no important fact of physiology or hygiene.
