<p>Breast sonography is commonly used to evaluate mammographic and palpable abnormalities, and this issue covers all of the current applications currently in use. Sonography also plays a role in screening for breast cancer and in evaluating the extent of disease in the breast and the regional lymph nodes. This issue also reviews the use of ultrasound to perform biopsies, guide catheters, and deliver radiation therapy. </p>
