As there is no limitation prescribed by the Patent Office as to who shall act as attorney in the prosecution of a case, the papers may be prepared by the inventor, or by any one he shall appoint. AS the value of the protection Which a patent affords depends upon the skill and care with which the papers are drawn up, they should not be attempted until the inventor thoroughly.
