I&#39;ll never forget a certain incident. At recess, when I was giving a lesson on leadership, Bob, a student, came up to me and said, &quot;Teacher, you saved my career! I sincerely appreciate that, sir. I swiftly drew back and said, &quot;How did I rescue your career?&quot; as I could see that he was ready to back away. I&#39;m 53 years old this year, he retorted. I had the good fortune to take on a leadership role 17 years ago. I didn&#39;t know until lately that I lacked the necessary leadership abilities and couldn&#39;t yet succeed in that job. I went to a conference on his leadership abilities last year where I studied the fundamentals of honing this talent. I used the information to my job right away. And what I anticipated has happened. People started to obey my commands.<br />They first appeared hesitant, but now they seem to be completely at ease. I lack competence, while having experience. I appreciate you helping me become a better leader. The appreciation of people like Bob motivates me to devote the majority of my time to studying leadership development. This is another reason I do around ten leadership workshops year in the US and other nations. I wrote this book for that reason.
