The leaders in American farm-life to-day realize that the farmer must be not only a good business man, but he must also be acquainted with the science of agriculture. Therefore this book aims to deal with the business side of farming and to assemble the scientific knowledge of agriculture as studied and practiced by a number of experts. In order to make this practical knowledge more accessible to the farmer, technical terms have been eliminated and an easily comprehended terminology has been maintained throughout the book.
