The rules given in this Cook Book have been tested, and if carefully followed, I am confident will give satisfaction. All I need say as an introduction to this little work, is that it was compiled at the earnest solicitation of many friends, who were kind enough to think that after an experience of more than a score of years I might prepare a work that would prove useful to many persons interested in the art of cooking, especially to young housekeepers.
