Angel Jibrail (AS) told Prophet Muhammad SAW the following incident about a man in the past who worshipped Allah Ta'ala continuously for 500 years. He was granted a shelter on top of a mountain that was surrounded by salty water. However, Allah caused a stream of sweet water to flow through the mountain for that individual. The man would drink from this water and use it to make ablution. Allah Ta'ala also raised a pomegranate tree from which the man would eat one fruit every day.

One day, this person supplicated to Allah SWT (God) that, "Oh Allah, bring my death while I am in the state of prostration." Allah accepted this dua of his. Whenever Jibrail (as) came down to the Earth, he found this man prostrating to Allah. Jibrail (as) said that on the day of Judgement, Allah will tell the angels to take this individual to Paradise through His mercy. However, this man will insist that he should enter paradise through the good deeds that he had performed.

Il a obtenu un abri au sommet d'une montagne entourée d'eau salée. Cependant, Allah a fait couler un courant d'eau douce à travers la montagne pour cet individu. L'homme boire de cette eau et l'utiliser pour faire une ablution. Allah Ta'ala a également élevé un grenadier à partir duquel l'homme mangerait un fruit chaque jour.

Un jour, cette personne a supplié Allah SWT (Dieu) de dire: "Oh Allah, apporte ma mort alors que je suis en état de prostration." Allah a accepté ce dua de son. Chaque fois que Jibrail (psl) descendait sur la Terre, il trouvait cet homme prosterné devant Allah. Jibrail (AS) a déclaré que le jour du jugement, Allah dira aux anges d'amener cet individu au paradis par sa miséricorde. Cependant, cet homme insistera pour qu'il entre au paradis à travers les bonnes actions qu'il a accomplies.
