Finding a way to transmit information instantly changed the lives of stockbrokers and professional horse bettors alike. Edison's telegraph and paper-tape teleprinter accelerated the flow of information. However, no one can deny that people in Manhattan access financial information faster and more accurately than outsiders. For the stock market as well as many other things related to the market, the crisis of 1929 was a major turning point. Assets are lost every hour. Some people on Wall Street were able to salvage some of their wealth by selling off their stocks early before disaster really struck. This massive selling of shares by Wall Street insiders pushed stock prices much lower. That seems unfair to investors elsewhere, who learned about the disaster later.<br />To resolve the situation, the US Congress created the Securities and Exchange Commission. One of the purposes of this committee is to ensure that the assets of retail investors are not exploited by company insiders - those who have the advantage of knowing information first. US Securities Law has set a clear line to distinguish between inside information and official information. Accordingly, it is illegal to use unpublished information of a company to make a profit. Although this law has thousands of confusing things, it is very necessary for economies that want to mobilize a large amount of capital from the middle-class population.
