Finally, it involves a treatment Of the effect Of the evolutionary conception and the theory Of history which came with it, on the utopian idea and the consequent changes in the type Of Utopias. Throughout it is essentially a study Of social ideas and ideals, — the in?uence Of environment and events in producing them.
