Do you ever leave the house with that feeling that you might smell? 

Well, you might. 

I don’t know you personally.

When you’re active or nervous, your sweat glands produce, well, sweat. 

There are two different types of sweat glands, the eccrine and the apocrine. 

The eccrine produce sweat that is watery and salty that no one cares about.

But the apocrine glands, which are found mostly in your hair follicles, produce sweat high in **protein, specifically one called Sialomucin. 

Bacteria that are living on your skin feed on this protein as a source of energy.

It’s that bacteria breaking down those proteins that create the smell you know as Body odor (B.O.)

So you may smell but it’s not technically your fault.

It’s basically just "Sialomucin" loving bacteria farting.
