A public meeting was also held, at which an introductory discourse was delivered by the Theo logical Tutor, unfolding the principles on which the educational department of the College would be conducted. Nine students entered at the beginning of the first session. Of these, I believe that only Dr. Eustace Conder, of Leeds, the Rev. William Guest, formerly of Leeds and Gravesend, and the Rev. Henry John Heathcote, of Chester Road, near Birmingham, are now living. Two additional students were received in January.
