The issue of this little volume may be taken as the fulfilment of a task undertaken to preserve the memory of a pioneer in the early religious life and economic activities of the Eastern Townships. The work is to be sold, for the most part, by subscription; and whatever profit may be realized from the sales, after the printer is paid, will be placed in the hands of Mr. Chapman's two daughters, to be made use of as they deem best for themselves.
