For many reasons I think this is a matter of regret. Mere details of observations are never looked at, ex cept by a very limited number of specialists; to the general public such details are meaningless as well as inaccessible; whilst the ordinary student usually accepts the result merely as he finds it quoted in some standard work or text-book.
