Published in 1886, first in the magazine <i>Young Folks</i> and then as a novel in the same year, <i>Kidnapped</i> is an adventure and historical romance set around real 18th century Scottish events. In its themes are discribed the concept of justice and the imperfections of justice system.<br /><br />Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson (1850 - 1894) was a Scottish writer. He was a celebrity during his own time. His most famouse works are <i>Treasure Islande</i> and <i>Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde</i>.
