Its general utility has been experienced, in the course of twenty-three years, by all persons interested in the public funds, and it has been acknowledged even by many sensible, candid Stock Brokers, men of unblemished reputation, to be the sole check, publicly given, to the ignominious practices of the dishonest part of the fraternity, who subsist entirely on the knavish tricks carried on in the flock-jobbing transactions of the Alley; which are amply exposed, and against which the public are strongly cautioned in this treatise.
