Any or all of the above when written or drawn on a slant are known variously as Italics and classified generally as either Gothic Italic, Roman Italic, Text Italic, etc. The true Italic, however, partakes more of the style of written forms based on script, which letters may be either joined together or written separately, as the case requires.
