It has long been realised that, in the study of Anatomy, the mere reading of. Lists and classifications was but a poor method of storing Memory's chamber; and seeing that the power of real imagination is so rarely possessed, to any marked degree, some other means were cogently demanded. The cerebral initiatory structural visualisation, viz., the building up of pictures on the psychic retina by memorising details culled from different sources, and at different times, and fitting them together in natural sequence or, and extremely rarely, the painting of a mental picture from imaginary, and not actually remembered, details being therefore lacking, or only poorly developed, must be supplemented by some artificial representation. With these facts present in my mind I have endeavoured to place before all Students of Nature's handiwork a ready and practical means of grasping details which are essential for many of those engaged in the study of health.
