Il mare, gli abissi, la subacquea e le tecniche di immersione hanno affascinato la mia anima sin da bambino. L'occasione di scrivere questo libro è arrivata quando in UTRtek mi è stato chiesto di approntare un manuale per le immersioni con ECCR. Da lì, il passo a farne un vero e proprio libro è stato breve. Nel primo capitolo viene presentata la storia del Rebreather dalla nascita dei sistemi di respirazione a circuito chiuso fino ai moderni Rebreather elettronici. I capitoli che seguono sono un vero e proprio manuale sulla teoria e l'uso dei sistemi a circuito chiuso elettronico. Partendo da richiami di fisica e fisiologia applicata all'uso del Rebreather e proseguendo con l'analisi dei tipi di Rebreather esistenti, nonché della componentistica di cui è equipaggiato un moderno Rebreather elettronico, il manuale si addentra nelle particolari procedure di utilizzo degli ECCR descrivendone le tecniche di immersione, nonché i vari scenari di emergenza con le relative manovre di risoluzione. Naturalmente questo libro non vuole sostituirsi al lavoro dell'istruttore che è fondamentale e indispensabile per l'accesso alle immersioni con i Rebreather, invece vuole essere uno strumento in mano all'istruttore."
