I toponimi nel territorio del comune di Configni: La Storia di un territorio, nel nostro caso, del Comune di Configni, non è fatta solo dalla descrizione degli usi, dei costumi e dei fatti accaduti nel tempo a Configni e Lugnola, ma importante pure è la conoscenza dei nomi propri delle singole località che lo compongono, nella loro evoluzione nel tempo e nella loro etimologia. Questo è lo scopo della presente ricerca. Infatti, lo studio dei toponimi, e le relative colture succedutesi nel tempo, rivestono una rilevante utilità anche per ricostruire le trasformazioni subite nel tempo dalle coltivazioni, l'aspetto del paesaggio, il modo di coltivare e lo stile di vita dei suoi abitanti. La ricerca compiuta anche se minuziosa non vuole essere esaustiva ma si pone come obiettivo quello di fissare i nomi dei luoghi e la loro ubicazione, affinché rimanga nel tempo la memoria del nome.
The history of a territory, in our case, the municipality of Conford, is not just from the description of the uses, customs and events that took place over time at Configni and Lugnola, but important as well is the knowledge of proper names of individual locations that make it up, as they evolve over time and in their etymology. This is the purpose of this research. In fact, the study of place names, and their cultures have occurred over time, are of significant utility for reconstructing the transformations suffered over time from cultivation, the appearance of the landscape, the way to cultivate and the lifestyle of its inhabitants. The research accomplished though meticulous is not meant to be exhaustive but aims to establish the names of places and their location, to remain over time memory of the name.
