About eighty specimens, products in the most important European manufacturing centers, beginning in the 15th century, these masterpieces of textile art are unique for the high quality of style and technique with which they were made. The volume is intended to show, for the first time, this collection, one of the largest in the world, the result of refined choices that the collector has been able to accomplish in twenty years. Through the discovery of these masterpieces, mostly unpublished, you want to help promote knowledge of ancient textile art by franco-Flemish region, French, German, Swiss and other European countries. Research and extensive studies by the authors have unearthed many discoveries that provide elements and innovative viewpoints on the study of these ancient artifacts of textile art.
