L'industria aerospaziale tra militare e civile all'inizio del terzo millennio: Dal 1990 a oggi l'industria aerospaziale del nostro paese si è profondamente trasformata, così come è avvenuto in altri paesi europei, negli Stati Uniti e nel resto del mondo. La trasformazione non ha riguardato solo l'innovazione nei prodotti e nelle tecnologie di processo, ma anche una vasta riorganizzazione delle strutture produttive e proprietarie e nuove strategie di crescita. Le imprese sono infatti spinte a operare sempre più nella logica di concorrenza per il mercato piuttosto che in quella dell'acquisizione di contratti dai governi nazionali. I fattori di tale cambiamento sono stati la forte caduta della domanda, sia civile sia militare, l'assestamento della componente militare su livelli più bassi che in passato e la rivoluzione nelle tecnologie dell'informazione e della comunicazione, che ha sollecitato la globalizzazione dei mercati e delle filiere produttive. Di conseguenza i costi del protezionismo dei produttori militari nazionali sono sempre più alti, soprattutto nel contesto europeo, caratterizzato da una forte segmentazione nazionale dei mercati.
From 1990 to today the aerospace industry of our country has been profoundly transformed, as was the case in other European countries, the United States and the rest of the world. The transformation did not cover only innovation in products and process technologies, but also an extensive reorganization of production facilities and proprietary new growth strategies. Enterprises are pushed to operate increasingly within the logic of competition for the market rather than the acquisition of contracts by national Governments. The factors of this change were the strong fall in demand, both civil and military purposes, the settling of the military component to lower levels than in the past and the revolution in information and communication technologies, which called for the globalization of markets and supply chains. Therefore the costs of protectionism of national military manufacturers are increasingly high, especially in the European context, characterized by a strong national segmentation of the markets.
