I trasporti ed il mercato globale: Nel volume sono raccolti gli atti dell'VIII Riunione Scientifica della Società Italiana degli Economisti dei Trasporti dedicata al tema "I trasporti ed il mercato globale". I lavori presentati, pur mostrando notevoli differenze in termini di problematiche analizzate, di modelli teorici di riferimento e di strumenti metodologici impiegati, evidenziano il ruolo centrale che i trasporti rivestono nel quadro dell'ampliamento dell'Unione Europea e dell'espansione dei confini del mercato globale. Il perseguimento di obiettivi quali il risparmio energetico, la sicurezza dei trasporti, il contenimento degli effetti ambientali, l'equilibrio tra i vari sistemi, richiedono, infatti, serie e specifiche riflessioni data l'eterogeneità delle realtà nazionali e regionali coinvolte. Per questa ragione la prima parte del volume è dedicata alle problematiche più strettamente legate all'omogeneizzazione organizzativa e normativa del settore dei trasporti ed al ruolo dei trasporti e della logistica nell'ambito delle realtà distrettuali. Nella seconda parte i contributi si focalizzano sulle criticità del trasporto locale ed urbano e sulle ricadute che il sistema dei trasporti produce sull'ambiente. Infine, nella terza parte, si raccolgono i lavori relativi ai processi di regolamentazione, ai costi e all'efficienza per ciascuna modalità di trasporto e per i sistemi basati sull'intermodalità.
The volume is collected the acts of the 8th scientific meeting of the Italian society of economists for transport on the theme "transport and the global market". The works presented, despite showing significant differences in terms of issues analyzed, theoretical models and methodological tools employed, highlight the central role that transport plays in the context of the enlargement of the European Union and the expansion of the boundaries of the global market. The pursuit of objectives such as energy saving, transport safety, the reduction of environmental impacts, the balance between the various systems, require, indeed, series and specific reflections given the diversity of national and regional realities involved. That is why the first part of the book is devoted to organizational and regulatory issues most closely tied to the homogenization of the transport sector and the role of transport and logistics within the districts. In the second part the contributions are focused on critical issues of local and urban transport and the impact that transport has on the environment. Finally, in the third part, you gather the works related to regulatory processes, costs and efficiency for each mode of transport and intermodality-based systems.
