The story is set in Versilia, surrounded by the lush green of the Apuan Alps and under the bowels of Monte Tambura. Star and his sister Glenda, along with two friends Rebecca and Frank, just arrived from the United States, are involved in a series of incredible events, bordering on the supernatural. It all begins with a balloon trip strongly desired by the boys, despite the concerns shown by parents. But one that starts as a unique experience soon turns into drama: the four, along with Alfred, the young Turkish driver of ballooning "Nautilus", due to turbulence plummet in the middle of a forest. Once taken the senses themselves all miraculously unharmed, although there is no trace of Alfred. Stella and her friends start looking for a trail that will lead back home, but instead they discover a mysterious underground site and here begins a journey that will leave the protagonists only keepers of secrets were untouched for years, offering to star, aspiring writer, a story to tell.
