Red America.
We know John Reed essentially for the book "ten days that shook the world" (1919)-the passionate portrayal of the October revolution that Lenin himself recommended "to the workers of the whole world." Less well known is the former, journalistic activity and, in the last years of his short life, his militancy in the us and international Communist movement. News and stories gathered in this volume (some unpublished in Italy, other published forty years ago but now unavailable) give the measure of the violent confrontation at the beginning of the 20th century the United States affecting social and were chosen because they represent the most vibrant and eloquent testimony to those years, helping to shape the figure of a man who became the model for a whole generation of American intellectuals.
