Gli acquedotti genovesi: La storia dell'acqua a Genova ha origini antiche. Sono presenti in città i resti dell'antico acquedotto romano, mentre fin dal Medioevo l'acquedotto storico presente in Valbisagno ha svolto un ruolo fondamentale per l'approvvigionamento idrico cittadino. La costante necessità di soddisfare la crescita del fabbisogno idrico, legata soprattutto allo sviluppo industriale della città, portò in seguito alla realizzazione di numerosi studi e ricerche che, a partire dal XIX secolo, diedero luogo ad intraprendenti iniziative che sfociarono nella nascita dei tre grandi acquedotti genovesi: Nicolay (1853), De Ferrari Galliera (1880) e Amga (1935). Il testo si presenta come una ricca raccolta di dati ed immagini riguar-danti la storia antica e recente degli acquedotti genovesi, senza peraltro trascurare di fornire importanti informazioni tecniche relative al funzionamento degli impianti di potabilizzazione attualmente operativi. Il volume "fotografa" inoltre lo stato dell'arte dell'approvvigionamento idrico dell'area genovese in un importante periodo di svolta rappresentato dalla nascita, nella primavera del 2006, della rete acquedottistica unificata con la creazione di Mediterranea delle Acque, società nata dalla fusione dei tre principali gestori del servizio idrico genovese (Genova Acque, De Ferrari Galliera e Nicolay).

The text is presented as a rich collection of data and images concerning giving the ancient and recent history of aqueducts genovesi, without neglecting to provide important technical information relating to the operation of water treatment plants currently operational.
