Acque di Terraferma: il Vicentino: Nell'autunno 2010 la città di Vicenza divenne il simbolo di una esondazione che avrebbe interessato molti centri abitati, per una estensione di circa 140 chilometri quadrati. A seguito di questi eventi, la Regione Veneto ha deciso di intraprendere, insieme ai geografi dell'Università di Verona, una indagine che chiarisse le vicende passate dei territori che avrebbero potuto essere destinati ad area di laminazione. In queste pagine si espongono, insieme ai progetti relativi alle casse di espansione, le dinamiche che nei secoli hanno segnato il rapporto tra comunità e fiumi, tra montagna e città, tra Terraferma e Serenissima, fino ai primi decenni del secolo XX. Carte storiche e relazioni dei tecnici del passato sono messi a confronto con il territorio attuale, le sue prospettive, i suoi problemi.
In autumn 2010 the city of Vicenza, became the symbol of a flood that would have affected many towns, for an area of about 140 square kilometers. Following these events, the Veneto region has decided to undertake, together with the geographers at the University of Verona, a survey which clarify the past events of the territories which could have been intended for rolling area. In these pages we expose, along with projects relating to expansion boxes, which over the centuries have marked the relationship between communities and rivers, between mountains and cities, between the Mainland and the Venetian Republic, until the early decades of the 20th century. Historical papers and technical reports of the past are compared with the current territory, its prospects, its problems.
